An ah-ha moment.
Hi there. I know, it's been a while. But I was just reading a blog post about kids and instagram and I want to share my epiphany. And Zach's grocery shopping. . . and the cats don't respond/care. I don't have an Iphone (yet) but I already know that I like instagram, but I never really think about the possible negative effects this type of social media can have on us. Especially at a young age. And by "young age" I mean at any age. Despite our best efforts we--as human beings--are always on the lookout for what our peers--or complete strangers-- think of us. No, it doesn't matter how old we get. I aspire to be better at not caring. Or at least caring, but not letting other's thoughts change who I am or what I look like.
Moving on.
I caught myself wondering how many people follow this womans blog. Because surely she must have thousands--ohmanIbetshe'ssopopular--. Why? Why do I care? What does it matter? To my satisfaction I discovered that the number of people who follow her blog was not displayed. Aha! What a wonderful concept. No, it doesn't actually matter. The number of people who may or may not follow every step of our lives does not make that life better. Or worse. Or less meaningful.
So, goodbye list of followers. I still love you.
