The idea of surprising our future children with a trip to Disney World gets me so excited and makes me tear up instantly. The simplicity of that kind of joy and excitement is a rare thing.

An ah-ha moment.

Hi there. I know, it's been a while. But I was just reading a blog post about kids and instagram and I want to share my epiphany. And Zach's grocery shopping. . . and the cats don't respond/care. I don't have an Iphone (yet) but I already know that I like instagram, but I never really think about the possible negative effects this type of social media can have on us. Especially at a young age. And by "young age" I mean at any age. Despite our best efforts we--as human beings--are always on the lookout for what our peers--or complete strangers-- think of us. No, it doesn't matter how old we get. I aspire to be better at not caring. Or at least caring, but not letting other's thoughts change who I am or what I look like.
Moving on.
I caught myself wondering how many people follow this womans blog.  Because surely she must have thousands--ohmanIbetshe'ssopopular--. Why? Why do I care? What does it matter? To my satisfaction I discovered that the number of people who follow her blog was not displayed. Aha! What a wonderful concept. No, it doesn't actually matter. The number of people who may or may not follow every step of our lives does not make that life better. Or worse. Or less meaningful.

So, goodbye list of followers. I still love you.

Scooby, keepin it real.

It's been a long time. . .

I shouldn't have left you, without a dope beat to step to, step to. . . . anyone? anyone?

Aaliyah--get with it.

Physics has taken over my life. Not really. I mean it is insanely time consuming and it takes me (literally) hours to finish a quiz. But I got this. Even though most of the time you can find me in my little office/guest room sitting in front of my computer like this:

I am doing my best! My last online course was somewhat time consuming but totally manageable. I mean I was still able to have a full time job and go out on the weekends. Turns out a Physics class and a Psych class are very different. Yeah, I knew that. I think I was just hoping they would be more like twins than insane opposites. Ho Well.

Oh yeah! Color Run?! Soooo fun. I highly recommend it to everyone. Of all ages. If you are currently living under a rock and have yet to see the pictures on facebook--here ya go:

And after.
The other day Mattie took some pictures of everyone. She did a pretty good job.

Anyways, back to the grind.

Love you.

Bloopers.

As I sit here reading about Carbonic Anhydrase and Hemoglobinopathies I remembered that I meant to post these pictures forever ago. And yes, that is what I would rather be doing. Here are the outtakes from this past Christmas Card. Enjoy.

And yes, there are a lot more.
