Oh hello. . . .

Things that made this past week great:

1.
I joined the gym and was finally able to make time to sign the papers and get started with the trainer. Afterwords my arms felt like they might fall off. Still totally worth it. I learned that I love the gym that I am going to and I'm excited about going back on Monday.

2. Work went well this week which always makes me happy.

3. Thursday evening Zach and I had dinner with our neighbor Sarah and her lovely parents. The dinner her dad made was absolutely delicious and her mom was very Southernly charming and warm.

4. After that amazing dinner and time with friends Rae picked me up and we headed to Hamilton for Sex & the City 2. We both loved it and laughed real hard.

5. I am pretty sure I laughed the loudest in the theater which kinda makes me embarrassed but also makes me happy.

6. Friday evening Zach and I had dinner at home and then headed into town for Twist. So dang yummy. You can't go wrong with soft serve strawberry yogurt and an assortment of fresh fruit. After our delicious dessert we can home and fell asleep watching Troy and Harry Potter.

7. Today we slept in. I could stop there because sleeping in is amazing. I mean today I got to sleep 6 hours later than normal! 6 hours is the average amount of sleep I get on week nights. Crazy. Anyways, around noon I made bagged lunched and then we headed to Hurricane Harbor!
We had such a fun and relaxing time. It was their opening day so we thought it was going to be busy. The longest line we waited in was maybe 6 minutes.

8. On the way home from Hurricane Harbor we stopped by Stewarts. Chili dog with mustard, onions, and ketchup, side of fries and splitting a Black Cow (Root beer float) with Zach makes for a perfect meal.

9. Once we got home I accidentally fell asleep for an hour. Impromptu naps are wonderful. When I woke up Zach and I headed to the Princeton Public Library to pick up some movies and check out their TV series collection. We ended up with The Graduate and Vampires Assistant.
Both good. One obviously was better than the other.

10. After the movies we headed out to the Princetonian Diner. I have been wanting to go to this place for months. Totally worth it. Such a quaint little place with a never ending menu. Then when we were paying the sweet old register man gave us a free pack of Starburst!

Now I am off to bed. Tomorrow brings church, the Record Exchange, Public Library, and a trip to St. Josephs Seminary. Then on Wednesday we fly to Tampa for a fun filled week of family, friends, and boating! YAYYYYY

Love and miss you all!

Oh so excited.

I am so dang excited about the trip that Zach and I just booked. On June 2 we will be flying into Tampa! Yaaayyyyy. And not only are we going to be able to spend time with my wonderful---and very missed---family, we are also going to be spending the weekend at the lakehouse with our Saint Augustine friends (atleast whoever can make it on such short notice)! Super Excited about Lakehouse Extravaganza III.

And it begins. . .

After many many many months of contemplation I made my decision.

I joined a gym!

That's right. With my own hard earned money I will be paying to enter a building, sweat, get rill stinky, and cause pain to my own God-given body. I will not be using that hard earned money to buy a pretty new outfit. . . or to see lots of movies. . . or to go out to eat with my hub-dub. Nope. . .I will be climbing pretend stairs and working out in (semi)unison with complete strangers.

Needless to say. . .

I am so dang excited.

I know that Zach would have preferred me to simply go jogging or do push-ups and sit-ups and chin-ups and hand-squeezy exercises. All for free. Unfortunately for him, I don't work like that. I need to feel like a absolutely have to go workout. And money does that for me. Fortunately for me, I have a loving husband who supports me and my money consuming desires. When I came home from the tour of the gym I sat down with Zach and reluctantly told him the gym fees. I was surprised when he said, "OK," and then started talking about something else. I went back to the gym topic. . . making sure that he wasn't just trying to avoid the matter. . . and he informed me that he understood and it sounded like something I really wanted to do.
(le sigh) I love my husband and I love our good communication (kinda related to this convo kinda not. . . but I'm just saying. . I love him/it).

The gym

Love you and miss you all.

Well hello to you.

Hello there! This past week of work was pretty much normal and OK right up until Thursday afternoon. But it was all worth it because I have a job. . . . but most importantly. . . I have the best husband in the whole wide world. Zach knew I had a rough day at work and so he decided to surprise me with a little bit of relaxation. I came home to a bathtub full of hot water and lemony bath salts in a bathroom full of candles. It was wonderful. After zonking out and enjoying that for a bit we got ready and went out to one of our favorite "fancy time" restaurants Salt Creek Grille. And yes Christina, I wore, "the Dress."

----side story----

When I was in NY with Christina we went shopping and she tried on this zebra like tight fitting low cut dress. . .something that's fun to try on but also something that I would have never have tried on had she not been in the dressing room right next to me with it in her possession. So after both of us tried on the same dress we both decided to purchase it and wear it out on "fun" occasions. Why? Because it made our butts look good and hugged on the right spots (I knew Zach would love it---and he does.)

----moving on----

Dinner at Salt Creek Grille was perfect. It's such a great spot because it's beautiful and has a piano bar. Super jazzy and fun. Afterward we went home and, after rummaging through old VHS movies, we found Far and Away. Good movie. Weird having to rewind.

Friday I worked and then after I got home and changed clothes Zach and I went to Iano' s for pizza and hot wings. The temperature outside was in the low 80s so I got to wear a cute little sundress without freezing my butt off. It was warm and cozy outside and I loved it. After dinner we headed over to the cute and quaint Princeton Garden Theater. Though it looks insufficient from the outside, the inside boasts (small but perfect) stadium seating theaters.

That evening we enjoyed watching Robin Hood. We both really liked it. Funny, actiony, very well put together. It would have been a perfect viewing of a film had this guy behind my not been hacking up his right lung. But I digress.

After the movie we headed over to the yummiest yogurt shop. Twist!

Twist offers around 6 different types of soft serve yogurts. Last night I ended up with Strawberry and vanilla. With a tiny bit of Pomegranate. Then there's a wonderful toppings bar. typically I go for an even mixture of fruit and chocolate. But last night I stuck with Raspberries, Blackberries, kiwi, and one orange gummy bear. Zach and I walked around Princeton with our delicious treats for about an hour. We window shopped. Which for us means Zach and I go up to a window and Zach tries to pick out what I would like and what I don't like at all. It's fun for us. . . .don't judge.

So. . . this brings me to Saturday. Well, right now I am sitting here on our very yellow couch with my two kitties. Water is boiling for Earl Grey tea. It's absolutely beautiful outside. The windows are open. The leaves in the trees are all waving to me. (well they are) Who knows what I will do. I plan on having a wonderful relaxing day full of things I want to do. All I know is that I will not be working and the laundry is done. So I hope you all have a lovely Saturday and a wonderful coming week.

Miss you and love you all.

Whoa

We have already been living in Princeton, NJ for EIGHT WHOLE MONTHS.

That's dang crazy.

on another note. . . I like this:

Flash Mob

Sooo since my last post. . .. I have. . . .participated in Communiversity (I made cotton candy for the Princeton Arts Council), I went to IKEA with Rae, went to Pats with Rae and Kevin, saw some movies, worked, visited Kersteenuh Jangles Congi in NY. . .and did some other things that are just not very exciting at all.

Christina and I had such a fantastic time together this past weekend. Right when I got there we went to this amazing Mexican restaurant called Cafe Maya. I had Sangria, oysters, chips and dip and Christina had fajitas. . .yum yum. We sat in the bar area and listened to the singer guitar guy and enjoyed the festive atmosphere. After dinner we relaxed on Christinas porch and talked for the rest of the night. Saturday was such a girly day(which was great). It included pedicures, lots of shopping, sushi, watching a bit of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, a surprise party, and a chick-flick. Sunday we went to church and then I headed back to my wonderful Zach in Princeton. Yay for good and much needed time with "homey" friends.

And now I am back to another week at good ol' Sbux. Who knows what the week will bring. Zach is out of town for the week at a retreat for his class. Which is mostly sad but also kinda like a fun little alone time vacation for me. But like 98% of me will be missing him a whole lot. Knowing that the house will be exactly the way I left it at when I left will be nice though!

. . .but I miss him already. . .

So that's the scoop. Nothing too crazy.

Love you and miss you all!
